Planning a wedding can seem overwhelming at first.

That’s only because you may not be good at delegating and like to get things done fairly quickly. Taking advice from family and friends, you can get a pretty good gauge on what you don't want and things to avoid.

From there, you can join a few Facebook wedding groups, specifically for North Carolina brides. You can even get free engagement photo shoots from different photographers who are active in the groups.

Amanda and Johnathan went with Photos by Clay. Clay and Dani are personable, friendly, easy to work with and produced clean, high-quality pictures within a quick turnaround time.

She was able to find their venue, Chateau des Fleures, and was certain the Chateau would be their choice.

She wanted a space that required minimal decor and had natural beauty. Not only is the venue stunning, but they allow outside catering, have great spacing, and the staff is super friendly and flexible.

The venue's preferred vendor list led her to us for wedding coordination.

We connected the bride and groom with florist Terry, of Dragonfly Florist. Terry was very pleasant and helped work around her needs. Her wedding-day execution was beautiful. The bride's maid of honor did her hair and The Esti Method provided makeup services. Both of these ladies undoubtedly contributed to the beauty and magic of their wedding day.

Other vendors to note were videographer, Carolina Media Specialist, who produces clear and crisp cinematography; DJ, Starock Entertainment, who helped make Amanda and Johnathan's wedding magical and cocktail hour vibrant and fun. We’re so grateful to them all.

The morning of Dec. 13, 2025 started early. Bridesmaids began makeup at 11 a.m. and everyone did their part to make wedding-day preparation seamless. After preparations, the bridal party headed over to Chateau des Fleures to get dressed, unwind, shake out the nerves and commune with each other. As the girls took getting ready pictures and the groomsmen helped button each other up, guests arrived. The wedding party gathered in the groom’s suite after dresses and shoes were put on.

After many hugs and kisses were shared, the wedding procession began.

In true dapper fashion, Johnathan and his best man sported black suits. As the wedding party entered the ceremony hall, guests jubilantly encouraged each pair that walked down the aisle. This gave a feeling of “family” to the room that eased everyone’s nerves. The DJ began to play and gasps could be heard across the room as the bride entered.

She was beautiful.

Chateau des Fleures was full of tears and smiles as the bride and her dad walked down the aisle.

Music captured the room and set the tone for the entire wedding.

You could hear a pin drop once it was time for the bride and groom to share vows.

It was perfect. The music played and guests cheered as the bride and groom joyfully exited the ceremony hall.

The Chateau des Fleures reception was painted in shades of red, blush and gold. Uplighting cast a warm glow on circular tables covered in white linens and red napkins. Each table was adorned by variously sized vases with candles and a bouquet of flowers.

Amanda and Johnathan entered the party and shared their first dance. Then it was dinner and party time.

Ricky of Starock Entertainment fit the couple’s vibe to a T. Amanda and Johnathan's 65 wedding guests danced the night away and participated in a bouquet dedication!

Guests headed outside Chateau des Fleures for the bubble exit as the party winded down. The bride and groom walked between bubbles and guests cheered. At the end of the bubble exit, the couple stayed the night in the venue's Honeymoon suite after a day full of family, friends and most importantly, love.

From proposal to reception, we want couples to remember that the wedding is and should be focused on the couple.

Set goals and boundaries, and be intentional about both of them. When it comes to selecting vendors, look for people who are serious about their work from start to finish. Every vendor we mentioned is highly recommended and equally flexible, hospitable and efficient. Chateau des Fleures couldn’t have been a better venue to host their wedding.
