Erica and Ian's Carolina Beach Wedding

Erica and Ian got engaged in the fall of 2024. The couple got right to planning a getaway wedding on the coast of NC.

The pair were set on an intimate day. Her heart was envisioning a casual weekend in a charming venue on the coast with her closest loved ones. She wanted to have it feel like a quiet, intimate getaway for each of them. After the couple chose their wedding venue tucked at Carolina Beach, they found Morgan Sierra Photography to capture the wedding. Morgan documented it all, from the breathtaking views to the personal touches that Erica and Ian's family helped create.

The bride and groom hired Raleigh-based photographer Morgan Sierra to document the precious moments of their modern North Carolina coastal wedding. From our very first interaction, Morgan was incredibly organized, warm, and inspiring to speak with. We knew immediately and were confident that their photos would be incredible - and seriously, they are breathtaking. Morgan captured the beauty of the big day.

We don't know how she did it, but Morgan was able to capture photos all while remaining so nice and calm. Highly recommend!

Erica and Ian tied the knot at Kindred Weddings & Events in Carolina Beach, with their closest loved ones. The intimate weekend was filled with scenic views of the coast. Their color palette of black and burgundy was inspired by the couple.

Morgan's photography highlighted all the personal details that Erica and Ian added to their wedding day. Erica's mother put together most of the decorations and a family friend handled all of the floral arrangements. Inviting family members to participate in the wedding heightened the experience. They didn't stick to norms.

After the emotional vows and reception, Erica and Ian relaxed with their loved ones at the local bars. Our favorite moment was when the DJ (Ultra Mix Events) kicked it up a notch and all of their guests were out on the dance floor. It was truly magical.
