Charles & Ella Tie the Knot in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina Wedding

Updated: May 2

Ella and Charles celebrated with 70 of their friends and family in a wedding planned by Forget Me Knot.

Charles and Ella chose Ocean Isle Beach for their nuptials. For the pair, it was a no-brainer to tie the knot at the beach. The Citrus Beach Club is iconic.

The town also provides ample entertainment for out-of-town wedding guests. Ocean Isle Beach is a town that provides lots of activities for wedding guests to do in their down time. From the dining and shopping to the shorelines, there really is a little bit of something for everyone.

For couples looking to plan an Ocean Isle wedding, we recommend getting a jump on booking vendors as soon as possible. Ocean Isle is a very popular destination wedding town, so inquiring about dates and vendors well in advance in encouraged. We often find that most Ocean Isles houses will book well over a year in advance.

What could possibly be more glamorous than walking down the aisle in a gown fit for royalty?

If you love a dramatic wedding gown, it really doesn’t get much better! Ella paired it with Nikes for the reception.

Of course, before dancing the night away with friends and family, Ella walked down the aisle – a moment that is our favorite memory of the day. For us, time stopped. The music began to play. While it echoed across the beach, the moment felt very regal.

Charles and Ella wanted to lean into a fall palette focused on hues of black and white. Knowing that Ella loved neutrals, we didn’t shy away from having pops of it everywhere.

Lively whites were the focus of floral designs by Briar Patch, including Ella's bouquet. These colors created that romantic ambiance that she desired. Small arrangements decorated the reception deck.

When it came to catering, they wanted comfort food to reflect the groom's favorite: Chipotle.

For dessert Charles and Ella chose cupcakes to complement their wedding cake that included vanilla with buttercream icing.

There was a multitude of ways they personalized their wedding, but one of our favorites had to be that we gifted their guests with light-up glowsticks to use as party props at their reception.

After the evening drew to a close, the newlyweds set off on a honeymoon trip to the Dominican Republic. They look back on their wedding day with joy. Most of all, they hoped for a day that they could enjoy with their loved ones, and that they did.
