For Cecile and Chris, a love story grew in 2019. After a couple years of dating, Chris popped the question. For the couple, it was a given that they would tie the knot in a private ceremony in Massachusetts and host a wedding reception at a later date in North Carolina.
Cecile and Chris entrusted Kayla of Forget Me Knot with the coordination of their Pinehurst reception.
The couple hosted their reception at The Fair Barn in Pinehurst on March 11, 2023.
They loved how the history and intricacy of the bar for their reception complemented the warm interior. The pair felt that for a small wedding, the venue had exactly what they needed. In addition, they loved the atmosphere and reception space, and the convenience it offered.
The wedding color palette was classic white and black. Pops of emerald green, Cecile's favorite color, stood out. Dogwood flowers, the state bloom, were also found in many details of the reception.
Thoughtful details that created a big impact and careful planning helped the couple enjoy their time with loved ones.
Their cupcakes were show stoppers! They were fairly set on their vision for the cupcakes early on in the planning process. The frosting matched the frills of Cecile's dress. Plus, the chocolate and vanilla marble fit the classic theme focused on white and black colors. CCups Cupcakery brought the cupcakes to life. Everyone raved about how fresh and delicious the cupcakes tasted.
Guests were escorted to their seat with a seating chart Cecile made. The reception wasn't without moments of laughter, too. It's these moments of humor, ease and everyone simply being themselves that they remember often and most fondly from their wedding.
