A spark ignited between Avis and Bruce when they met through a dating app in 2020. Their bond grew from their first date. Bruce later popped the question in 2023 while at dinner. The pair toasted to their future.
They eventually decided to host a big celebration in 2024 that would allow them to include all their family and friends. The pair formally got married in an intimate ceremony at Paramount Event Venue. Avis and Bruce exchanged vows and enjoyed a casual BBQ with their loved ones.
Avis wore a lace dress. A family friend officiated and the couple completed their vows.
The couple then hosted a traditional reception. Paramount Event Venue was absolutely fabulous and easy to communicate with.
Paramount Event Venue is conveniently located in between Raleigh and Durham. The couple made use of venue's garden as a unique backdrop for their wedding portraits. They then headed back inside the venue for the reception.
Dajuan of In His Image Photography captured the wedding on camera. Dajuan is a photography god. He was the best part of their wedding and captured photos they will love forever.
American Party Rentals, KSS Creations LLC, and florist Leslie Ivey Designs decorated the space with purple, as well as emerald and teal. Guests enjoyed a mix of Southern dishes.

I think everyone at the wedding danced the entire time. There are so many great photos of them getting down on the dance floor.
