Alan & Kat: Sentimental Beach Wedding in Wrightsville Beach

Alan and Kat tied the knot at the Carolina Yacht Club, surrounded by the scenery that held a special place in their hearts. They felt that having a beach wedding was the perfect way to make the event personal and sentimental.

After the coastal wedding ceremony, the reception was held inside the screened-in porch, a beautiful nautical-style building in Wrightsville Beach. Alan and Kat kept their wedding local by booking vendors from the area. Thyme Savor in Wilmington catered the reception, and Pink Baking Co. provided the cake.

Their photographer, The Axtells, captured all of the delicate details of the day, including the dusty teal and sage color scheme and Kat's rings; they also facilitated peaceful and romantic moments for the couple. Those are some of our favorite photos from the day.

Kat wore a magical wedding dress and her bridesmaids wore turquoise-colored dresses. She chose the prefect dresses for her big day.

Their wedding planning experience was fun, as with many couples. They tried to keep things as local as possible and made sure to have as much fun as possible during the process. Our advice to engaged readers is to try to enjoy the process and remember why you’re doing it in the first place.

Their coastal wedding beautifully represented their love for each other.
