Adam and Janis met on a plane to Seattle in May 2021. The pair began dating soon after. Their love carried them through a long-distance relationship and moves across the country for nearly two years until the couple settled in Raleigh, North Carolina. After crossing paths in an airport in Boise, Adam popped the question right then and there. Delany of Forget Me Knot helped the couple coordinate a Raleigh wedding inspired by their aviation roots.
The couple celebrated their coast-to-coast love story on February 4, 2024, at The Stockroom at 230 in Raleigh.
The couple chose rentals and decor in dusty blue, light pink and navy shades paired with neutrals. The natural beauty of The Stockroom was accentuated with elements like greenery and candles.
Personal touches made a beautiful ceremony even more sentimental. Janis and her bridesmaids held anemones with ranunculus and sprouts of greenery.
After the ceremony, guests mingled under the historical architecture of the venue lit by market lights. Cocktail hour was gorgeous – the lighting, the weather and the venue was perfect. A plated-style dinner followed. Lana Janae Photography captured the intimate day. For an extra-personal touch, the couple served their guests cake and Krispy Kreme donuts.
Looking around on their wedding day and seeing everyone so relaxed and enjoying themselves was the best gift, and it didn’t hurt to be in such a beautiful setting!
